Installing the SIRIUS Magnetic Mount Antenna

Proper installation of the SIRIUS antenna on your vehicle will help your SIRIUS radio perform its best. A poorly-installed antenna will not consistently receive the SIRIUS signal from the satellites in the sky, causing drop-outs. These signal drop-outs can cause your SIRIUS radio to occasionally mute. When this happens, your SIRIUS radio's display will show "Acquiring Signal". If this happens often, the likely cause is a SIRIUS car antenna that has not been properly installed.

Installing the SIRIUS antenna on your vehicle involves two general steps:
  1. Properly mounting the antenna on the correct location.
  2. Routing the antenna cable from the antenna to the SIRIUS radio.

Optimize Audio Options

In order to listen to you Sirius Radio (such as Dock & Play, SkyDock, etc.) in your vehicle, you need to connect its audio to your vehicle's audio system. There are two primary ways to connect the audio of your Sirius radio to your vehicle's audio system.

FM Radio Connection: With POWERConnect you can listen through your vehicle's FM radio

Direct Audio Connection: Connect to and listen through your vehicle's stereo system
